A patient with diabetes/peripheral neuropathy recently purchased (from the internet) an "ozone generator" on the advice of his doctor for the treatment of his foot wound (Grade 1 Stage A UT grading, plantar aspect of L/3-4 MTPJ's). Indications suggest it is designed to destroy odours, mould and bacteria by producing ozone. Areas suggested for use are commercial kitchens, comercial toilet areas, unoccupied boats/caravans etc, hairdressers, flowers shops and in the home. I see no mention of an indication being neuropathic wounds.

He spent approx. $600 on it and is sticking his foot in a little box twice a day or so (incidentally he has been doing this for two weeks and the wound looks great and is improving well- but he is also using an iTCC and has always looked good).

I would value any input from anyone who may have had experience with such a device (for the treatment of neuropathic wounds).
