I was following it on Fox ... in his acceptance speech he paid tribute to his predecessor (Ted Kennedy) and promised to work hard and be the best senator he could to honor his memory..... kinda sounded funny to me. Ted Kennedy worked so hard on the health care reform that Brwown will now probably vote against :sinking:

Awwwwww- I'm a redneck from way back!
The guy posed in 1983!!!! Good for him. My girfriend thinks he's a hunk!
Brown's a conservative and so am I (and so is the majority of us in the USA although you wouldn't know it)

Ted Kennedy? Don't get me started. I'm sure he's rolling over in his grave!

Health Care reform? This bill isn't healthcare reform it's Government takeover of healthcare....in fact very few know much about it at all?
    Transparency? right!
    Payoffs for votes? Absolutely.
Change we can believe it? Now THAT'S FUNNY!

We're sick and tired of all the crapola in Washington. I say fire everyone and start from scratch!
I'll volunteer my services as interim leader of the free world!!!!! In fact, I'll do it for free.
I want NO NEW PROGRAMS FOR ANYTHING. I think we have enough.

    BTW:
THere was a thread (I can't find it anymore) I started re: Government run healthcare - someone posted how"successful" the medicare program was in the USA and how this proved how a government can run a large program.

Well, besides not having to show a profit and not having to concern themselves with a bottom line since all the government has to do is allocate more and more tax money to keep it running..medicare patients are beginning to "get it"

THe Mayo Clinic in Arizona has decided NOT to see anymore Medicare patients. Many clinics in the USA, as well as many hospitals are now LIMITING the number of Medicare patients they see. WHY?
    Simple.
They (we) lose money every time a medicare patient is treated (it simply cost more to see them than you get in return)

This in addition to the PRIVATE companies the Obama administration has hired to go after doctors and make our lives miserable by auditing their records and asking for refunds. Of course the Private companies get to keep a % of the "reimbursements" - what a cute little operation that is. "yes Dr., we have concluded that you used a wrong code for 200 of your patients in '07 and now we need you to send us a check for the difference" - unbelievable! These headhunters are not going after the very few crooked doctors and you are lead to believe, no, they are going after EVERYONE! It's just not worth all the trouble anymore to see a Medicare patient.

No one in the administration really gets it. Obama will go down as the worst President since Jimmy Carter.
