Embarassing Bodies TV show - girl with varrucas found to have immune disorder

    I apologise if this has already been posted and discussed here, but I came across this video on You Tube and I found it so fascinating I had to share.

    This young girl came to the TV show doctor with debilitating verrucas covering both feet. After all the doctors she had seen apparently he was the first one to suggest testing of her immune system.

    The testing revealed she was missing one particular T cell, and she ended up requiring a bone marrow transplant. I believe she made a full recovery.

    The show goes for about half an hour.

    I am only a prospective student so it may not be of interest to you old hands, but I thought it was so interesting that a seemingly common foot problem was an indicator of something much more serious going on in her body.

    thank you for this, i have been treating a women for warts affecting both feet about 12 in total she has had them for years and doctors have tried several treatments with no help.
    I am going to put this to her about having test by G.P for her immune system.
    Thanks again.
