Who does non-osseous foot surgery in Australia?

    Hi,

My question is this- who is best trained to perform non-osseous foot surgery in Australia? For example, neuroma excisions, or surgical procedures for Baxters neuritis?

Is this the realm of the orthopaedic surgeon? Or is there another sub specialty for this?

I know podiatric surgeons will do these procedures, but we don't have them where I am!

    Thanks

    Phil

Phil - Podiatric Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon or even General surgeons would do this. Obviously considering their level of expertise is essential before consideration of referral.
