    Happy New Week all,

I have a pt with protein c deficiency, meaning that they are more prone to clots than the median population.

Does anyone have any first hand experience with such an affectation and can they tell me how/if it changed their treatment approach?

For instance, does it change the approach for all podiatric type treatments (nails, injections) or just for surgery, or does nothing really change at all?

All the literature I can find is not podiatrically focussed nor does it speak much on complications, just day to day risk factors.

    Cheers
    Mahtay

    Hi Craig,
    Thanks for those links,
I have already seen the emedicine one but can't get into the other.
Can you tell me if my treatment should change in light of my pts condition or does it just increase his day to day chances of DVT etc?
    Help!
    Mahtay
