arch pain and lumps

    I have had arch pain and a lump in the arch of my right foot. Foot specialist said he could do surgery but recommended to live with it. Now I have...

    I usually agree with "footdoc" however I must disagree on this one.

    Plantar Fibromas can be surgically excised with good success. The success rate decreases with the number of fibromas present, that is, more than 3 on a foot will have a higher rate of recurrence than 1 or 2.

    Local injection of cortisone may decrease the size and "hardness" of the lesion, when this fails I would not hesitate to have an experienced surgeon remove this painful mass for you.
