How long after a stress fracture shows healing on the X-ray should there continue to be pain from standing/walking? My podiatric surgeon said the bone is healed, and to take off the cam walker and begin some walking. Each day for 3 days, the pain is stronger. When a stress fracture is healed, will there still be some pain from the surrounding tissue?
