I am a 65 year old woman with a history of scoliosis spinal surgeries. I was diagnosed on March 12th with a 5th metatarsal spiral fracture, mid-shaft, of my left foot. I am unable to wear a cam walker boot due to the heavy weight and am instead in a cast. I stayed immobile for six weeks in bed, not walking. I went back and my x-rays had not changed, the fracture is still non-union. I was recasted on April 23 and am still in that cast. The fracture is not displaced.
