I have seen this on another forum. What do you think to this:

"Age Concerns have been faced with the choice of charging for their service‚ in order to be
able to run it or leaving vulnerable older people on low incomes without any service at all."

A friend of mine used to do the chiropody at a local AC centre. Yes my friend is HPC registered.

"Leaving vulnerable older people on low incomes without any service at all." According to my friend, what utter rubbish. Most of them were active pensioners who miraculously found money for other luxuries! Just about ALL of the patients there had previously been going to see other chiropodists. Unmet need, yeah right. More like, IN MY OPINION, a money making exercise for AC under the guise of, "we are offering a service to help the elderly with their footcare!"

It seems the discussion wandered off track - maybe someone would like to bring it back?
