    Hello

I currently work for a rural hospital, however am wanting to move to the city however there is limited public sector work.
I have emailed various private employers and aged care and quite shocked by the volume of people that a podiatrist is expected to see each day. When I worked in central London I saw 12/13 people a day and that was more than enough, particularly with all the callous debridement. I have worked for NHS as well and that was 16 a day but mainly were quick nailcuts, simple biomechanics and few wounds.
I have been looking at aged care which is apparently 20-40 a day, I wondered if anyone has experience and whether it is doable? I am getting married and ideally want to live with my partner near the city, so clutching at straws at the moment. As there is limited work around.
Just wanting a well rounded opinion from fellow podiatrists so I know what I am getting myself in for, would only want to do it short term as I enjoy doing some biomechanics, woundcare and hospital visits.

    Thankyou

Because of price pressures, you have to do that many to make it financially viable. Shame really...

~20 patients a day is pretty common in private practice in Australia
