Ian- to be fair to Robin the Iom is about 20 years behind the times, so I reckon by that standard he is actually 10 years ahead on this ;)

So is it good? I'm not thinking about buying one(someone is introducing one to a gym in the IOM[there is a grand opening by Neil Armstrong]) but seems like a pretty useful tool.
Anything that reduces forces on pathological tissues will help - ZOOS and all that. Does it allow people to rehab faster in your valued opinions? -
I don't have loads of experience with it, nor do I use it with any sort of regularity.
That said, it's fair to say that it generally allows functional rehab to begin earlier. The ability to alter loading (think you can take it as low at 20% body weight from memory) obviously allows runner patients to run much sooner than you'd normally advise. Beneficial from both an ongoing CV fitness, and a movement pattern perspective (perhaps). Certainly better for their (and in turn your) sanity too.
By all accounts they are pretty decent for post op patients too. I know there are a few of these in private clinics around London. I understand most Premiership football clubs in London also have one (or at the very least access to one).
Thats my sum total of knowledge on them my friend. -
