Female, age 63, no known health issues or allergies, not taking any medication, tested negative for RA, lupus, anaemia, diabetes etc; suffering from extreme fatigue, hair loss (mainly lower limbs) and Beau's lines in, otherwise healthy-looking, toenails. Seemed to be triggered by an infected salivary gland 3 years ago.
Any ideas as to what this could be?

    Nope.
It could be one on the 'post infectious' syndromes, but it all about pattern recognition. The whole "pattern" may not be there yet ... watch and wait; rheumatology consults --> treat symptoms
OR, it could all just be a co-incidence with symptoms and not a pattern --> watch and wait.
