Have had almost a year of off/on peroneal tendonitis with some burning pain, some more like typical musculoskeletal pain. Not much swelling although swollen compared to "good" foot. Some ankle instability. Over the last few days the burning pain has become more frequent and long lasting, usually popping up suddenly during activity.

I have an MRI coming up, but I would like to know if anyone has any idea what this might be, and if it is typical of peroneal tendonitis proper or might...
