Have applied to Uni to start Podiatry in Sept. Am currently doing access course at college but need to do an independent research project. Has to include a current debatable topic. Really want to do it on something involving feet but am really stuck for ideas. Can anyone suggest anything that is current, not too technical, and has loads of research available. Have considered children's shoes issues but can't find much research. Please help, don't want to have to resort to mainstrem topics e.g. global warming, really want to do something relevant to podiatry.

    Hi Chole,

As far as I know there has'nt been a study done to form a link between

babies who don't walk before 14mths of age and obesity. Most parents remember when their toddler first starts to walk and young children have their weights recorded by the baby health clinic .

Baby's footwear is an area that needs to be assessed and could be shop focused or mother and baby groups could be used to gain data.

    cheers Tess
