Just for clarification: I see my podiatrist in a few days, but wanted your take on this. I just read my radiology report from an MRI on my left...

    Hi:
MRI's cannot tell us if something is "painful" and frequently positive findings on an MRI on an anatomic part such as a foot (with so many joints/tendons/ligaments, etc...) are numerous. i.e., there are usually quite a few "findings" that do not correlate with the patients symptoms.

One quick additional note: Pathology to the tendons passing over the ankle, such as the posterior tibial tendon, may be missed on an MRI scan, such as a linear tear. Your doctor will hopefully go over the MRI himself and compare any findings to your clinical examination.

    Good luck

    Steve
