A new client came into see me to day because she tried to get RX orthotics from Dr.Scholl's Custom Fit Orthotics kiosk and is a bit confused. She steeped on the foot mapping plate 5 times. Twice she got the same reading but the other 3 time different readings. She asked how this could be.

 

...just shows how good their system is. Epic fail.

BTW, they are being sued in a class action:

The lawsuit was recently dropped as their custom fit orthotics have been sold for over seven years. The time has expired (statute of limitations) to file a suit.

Kind of a shame, actually. It cheapens "what we do" by attaching the name orthotic to just a supportive insole. I like the New Balance line of arch supports...they haven't changed the design of these devices in over 15 years...because they haven't had to...everyone else is still playing catch up.

They also haven't raised their prices in that time...which is remarkable. These are the ones I wear:
