My 12 year old kid had surgery Nov last year for accessory navicular removal (Kidner's) and then Evan's osteotomy for flat foot correction. While the kidney's site has recovered well, Evan's site has gone from doing well in March to delayed union (not confirmed) in May. She twisted the same foot while doing PE, no thanks to the pushy PE teacher. Is the delayed union normal in pediatric patient?
