Has any one come across pain extreme to the problem being presented - like regional complex pain syndrome but not particularly after an injury - have had a few teenagers 13-17 years mainly girls which are presented on crutches with tendonitis but no real inflammation or injury that would account for the extreme reaction

Have also had a few adults ( aged range 40-50) with similar extreme reactions so unsure whether hormones are playing a part - which is what we first thought?
If so what treatments has been given - over and above general treatment for the tendon have been tried . The only successful one we have come across was desensitization treatment from the physio. The heavy painkillers do not seem to be touching it .:bash:
