    Townsville Podiatry Centre requires a qualified podiatrist who is a team player, patient focused, enjoys podiatry, wants to be part of a group practice and is keen to grow their professional career in a supportive and professional setting.

    Townsville Podiatry Centre is dedicated to providing excellent podiatry care and pain relief for sports people, children and all family members. We provide a caring atmosphere and are sensitive to the needs of our patients particularly those in pain.

    Our aim is to provide our patients with the best possible treatment using the most up-to-date and proven methods, materials and equipment. This philosophy will best be achieved in a working environment where we recognise the patient as being the most important person in the practice. We work in an ethical and responsible manner, in an environment of teamwork, with mutual respect for each other’s abilities and functions. We actively work towards workplace harmony by adhering to our practice courtesy system.

    The Position:
    The successful applicant will join a team of 5 other Podiatrists and 10 support staff in one of Australia’s largest and best podiatry facilities with research level equipment including video gate, F-Scan pressure analysis equipment, 3D scanning and CadCam prescription orthotics. Our onsite laboratory manufactures orthotics with our computerised in-house orthotic milling machinery. We are a fully computerised practice using Front Desk for our appointment diary and patient records. We also offer support for continuing professional education both in-house and externally.

    You will service our growing patient base at our main centre in Townsville as well as satellite clinics in Ingham, Charters Towers, Ayr or Magnetic Island.

    Our practice hours are between 8am & 5pm Monday to Friday with after-hours appointments on Wednesday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings.

    Location:
    Townsville, North Queensland largest city (close to 200,000 population), is situated in the northern tropics. We have a fantastic relaxed lifestyle which is very conducive to year round outdoor activities. We have perfect weather for 9- 10 months of the year with hotter weather for 2–3 months (Dec-Feb). Townsville is a city which enjoys a wide range of sporting activities largely due to the pleasant weather.

    Requirements:
    Current AHPRA registration and relevant podiatry qualifications
    High quality written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent computer literacy skills
    Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
    Proven commitment to further education and willingness to participate in quality activities
    Full and unrestricted class C drivers licence with own car
