Fibular moblisation for sesamoiditis

The client had two surgeries for sesamoid pain, the sesamoids are very small bones in the forefoot. She appeared to have excessive shear forces due to midfoot and forefoot mobility restriction. The cause? The fibula was stuck inferiorly on both sides. Restoring normative superior mobility of the fibula enhanced mobility in the talocrural (ankle), midfoot and forefoot. she reported increased weight bearing throughout her feet, was pleased. This was part of a whole body treatment for initial diagnosis of sacroiliac joint dysfunction and hip pain. This case illustrates the important of treating the whole body. She failed to report her foot surgeries, but I found the movement dysfunction of her foot at which point she informed me of the foot surgery and sense of inadequate foot contact. She has a strong body type and I believe that she has very good healing potential and will be taught self management.

A shame you didn't show the techniques used.

We're they mobilisations, manipulations or a combination? Which joints did you work on? The fibula only or did you include the accessory joints affecting the fibula?

Do you have the techniques viewable elsewhere?
