Yet another scam operating on health care professional. This warning comes form Perth WA and was posted on facebook

"MEDICARE FRAUD ALERT
.... I received a phone call at a practice I don't own from Medicare claiming they owed me money for a dva claim. They wouldn't let me know who the patient was or any other details, but they had my email address and last few digits of my provider number and sent me an email wanting my bank details. This was odd as I don't own the practice! It's a bit concerning they had those details of mine as this was definitely a fraud (Medicare confirmed it was) and quite a good one. "

I have also been targeted by this scam. Looks very genuine. Beware.
