Muscle Trigger Points and Pressure Pain Sensitivity Maps of the Feet in Women with Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

It has been awhile, Arena hasn't been on the radar for awhile.
Seeing the postings again and saw this one to add a comment as it is not uncommon to have new clients with fibromyalgia show up.
I have had quite reasonable reductions in painful feet and lower legs by releasing triggers that I found. Always be mindful of using very gentle techniques with needles along with a few local points. Sometimes superficial dry needling (Baldry) can be a start and using low level laser therapy as standalone or in combination with the needling can be advantageous. Addressing mechanical issues with simple insoles and wedging at the same time is useful when there is an issue. Avoid any deep manual therapy and very gentle mobilisations can be helpful as well.
For someone suffering this level of pain the reduction is always appreciated and can be maintained with follow up from time to time after you have reached a level that seems to be not improving further.
