I just came back from APWCA in Orlando and visited the Cardium Therapeutics booth that was showcasing their product for diabetic wounds called Excellagen. Excellagen is engineered to support a favorable wound healing enviroment for non-healing lower extremity ulcers in diabetic patients, and other dermal wounds.

Ive been using REGRANEX Gel during Initial and ongoing debridement for years with much success and, some side effects. Ive had concerns over the REGRANEX black label warnings and found Excellagen comes without any of these warnings.

I am going to order units and try Excellagen on several patients at their discretion. It comes Ready to use - no mixing or thawing in a sterile syringe; 4 syringe's per unit. I will keep everyone abreast of any favorable wound healing and observations. From what I discovered the outlook on favorable wound healing with Excellagen seems rapid, with (some) patients having almost full wound closer within several weeks.

Ive attached an Excellagen Fact Sheet if anyone is interested.
