    Hi all,

Has anyone come across or is involved in the OSTRICH trial in the UK? We've received an invitation to take part at my centre, and I'd like to know more. I've tried contacting the study director but with no response, and I really don't want us to invest what would be a lot of energy in something without the required benefits. It's run by Dr Mike Backhouse at the University of York, and aims to be a multi-centre study into the benefits of orthotic treatment of pes planus. I have some questions about the study design - will upload more info when I'm not at my outside-site averse work computer but would be interested to know if people already had come across/become involved in it.

    Thanks,

    Dan

    Hi Dan,

Are you going to be involved in the study? I've just looked up a summary of the aims and protocol online (see below). Sounds interesting - will look forward to the results.
