    Hello,
I currently live in the Netherlands and i want to to move to Australia to work as a podiatrist and continue developing as a podiatrist in Australia.

I understand that i have to get a migration skills assesment at ANZPAC.
    Then comes my question.
Do i need to register at AHPRA or Australian podiatry association or both before i can start applying for a job?

I have a post bachelor in sonography for diagnostics and years of experience with shockwave therapy.
Are these being used by podiatrist in Australia?

    Thanks in advance..

    Jaylan,

You need to be registered with AHPRA before you can practice.
ANZPAC will assess your qualifications and skills to ensure that meet the requirements for registration, then you can register. You will also need to ensure you have the appropriate working visa.
Membership of the A.Pod.A. is voluntary, but do provide benefits such as continuing education and access to insurance (both necessary to continue your registration)

Sonography is a separate registered profession in Australia, and podiatrists generally refer to the diagnostic services. ECSWT is used here by some podiatrists.
