MISSION STATEMENT
WELCOME!
This is my first attempt to fulfill a lifelong dream of dispelling the general misconceptions that beset the podiatric profession, and some of its individual members.

However, my true mission goes well beyond those trivialities. In truth, my goal is to project the podiatric profession onto center stage of our health care system in true parody to the rest of the medical arts specialties in the U.S. today, and beyond that to create worldwide understanding and acceptance of the value inherent in Podiatric medical expertise to help address the large and rapidly growing need for foot health in an expanding human population.

A layman would insist that there is no problem at all. Admittedly, an external observer would find great difficulty in assessing the subtle idiosyncrasies of our professional struggles.

However, like most great quests, the journey begins with personal introspection and the realization that all truths are self evident and deserve transparency. As professionals, we often find ourselves secluded in offices, concerned with addressing the medical problems of our patients, burdened by growing medical documentation requirements, and the responsibilities of managing a small business enterprise brought on by solo private practice, hospital politics, family life, etc. The outside world seems an alien place filled with issues foreign to our small sphere of influence.

And therein lays the conundrum. When problems ensue, the knowledge limitations of our microcosms become evident and we struggle to find a broad milieu to explore all viable options that could aide in resolving those complex issues. We reconcile in our belief that our political representatives will actually honor their commitment and pledge to resolve issues that affect us directly. Or at least that they will admit to the struggles afflicting their constituents, and intercede in our behalves using the proper channels. In podiatry, these representatives are often beset with achieving the goals of the national organization, rather that improving the struggles of their grassroots membership....
