I used to use monochloracetic acid crystals as a treatment for verrucae.
Now this has been classed S4.

Does any one have any experience in using the KOH flakes? How do you usually apply them and how much do you apply?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

Mark apply like any keratolytic simply debride lesion, wipe away any blood in field and maintain some light pressure for haemostasis and apply flakes using a skin pickup or small artery forcep. Leave the crystals in place until you see the tissue ulcerating to desired effect and flush with copious amounts of saline. Personally complete sharps resection around the borders of the lesion under LA with phenolization/1064nm laser cautery is my preferred method of treatment for VP's now. Give it a shot and try!
