More joy and laughter in the form of unsolicited mail from LaLa Land this morning where despite recent rebukes, our dear friend and colleague, Professor Sir Brian Rhubarb, appears to be well on the way to receiving an award for curing chronic pain.
Colleagues would be well advised to study the sagacious advice in the “Limited Thinking” section which begins
Obviously the tactic used when escaping the clutches of Washington State Medical Board and fleeing to Institute of Rome Pizza House…

Brain, your emails are really funny if only you weren’t trying to be serious. Can you stop them please?

    Hey Mark,

I too got one of those - and I thought I was the only lucky chosen one !?! Damn you , now you gone and ruined it for me !

His studious academic contemplative face (or is it the sound of cash register ‘ker-ching’ that just makes it seem so?) kind of cheers me up, in a weird sort of way, so I don't mind the unsolicited mail.

I was mildly surprised though to find myself on the mailing list since Brian stopped e-mailing after I asked him too many awkward seemingly 'unprofessional' questions, especially after I traced the evolution of the 'Rothbart' foot - i.e. Morton's Foot (that short flaccid 1st metatarsal).

He has shown such tenacity in the face of adverse comments I was surprised I managed to get under his skin. And I was so enjoying our exchanges. :morning:

Now that the therapeutic emphasis is shifting to that of chronic pain management, I can only surmise from this the PCI has cured all of the other problems and it is time now to move this on ?

I like the eccentric personality - and Mr/Professor/ Doctor BR is right up there with
    them.

    Good afternoon gentlemen

Can you help me please? What is 'inner wisdom'? How does it differ from 'outer wisdom'?

What is 'monumental'? I cannot find it in Dorlands Medical Dictionary. Chamber's Twentieth Century Dictionary (I know, I'm that old), has 'of or relating to or of the nature of a monument, tomb, momento, or token. To be fair, it also has 'massive, vast, impressive, amazing'.

Do you think a research series of 22 children is massive, vast, impressive or even amazing? Or do you think the study is bound for the tomb?

Regarding the photograph, I am looking forward to seeing Hamlet at Stratford in October, starring David Tennant and Patrick Stewart - (Dr Who and Captain Jean Luc-Pickard, how cool is that, huh?). Do you think that elder brother Pickard will be there?

I look forward to your enlightened replies.

    Bill Liggins
