I have been seeing a lot of recent information about prolotherapy in treating such things as plantar fasciitis. I believe it involves injections of local anesthesia mixed with an irritant (such as dilute phenol), which transforms a chronic condition to something acute. It involves multiple injections, yet boasts that it results in stronger, thicker plantar fascia. It seems only chiropractors do this sort of therapy. Does anyone have any experience or heard about this before?
