The new UK coalition government has commenced cut backs which include scrapping some quangos set up by the previous government at taxpayer's expense. Is it time the HPC was scrapped too? What evidence is there that the profession is better managed than previously? Should we revert to the Codes of Practise and disciplinary committees that existed by the self governing member registered associations?
