First posting, please could anyone provide me with information and the basics of Rootian Theory? I am new to this and was told this would be the ideal place to come. In addition if someone could provide me with links to decent online information or to appropriate PDFS.

It depends what you want. Do you want a brief overview of the theory or in depth criticism and discussion of the theory. From the home page of the arena you will see several collections of threads. Go to the biomechanics..... collection. At the top there are many key words. Many of those key words are associated with Root et al theory. There is a real hot thread there right now with around 300 posts.
