I had bunion surgery about 5 years ago and after recovery my ball of my foot always hurt and has become worse. After a MRI and CtScan I found out I have a cyst on each seasmoid bone under the metitirsal between the two I have no cartlidge left and lots of arthritis. The surgeon is recommending removal of the seasmoid bones and a big toe joint fusion with a plate. I can't believe it really don't want surgery let alone a plate in my toe.
