Great to see this article. I have been using small instruments throughout my career of 28 years, and suffer no RSI related issues. They are much more comfortable for the clients too, mine are mostly elderly and disabled. Suppliers in my experience promote the use of the most expensive clippers, and hold a very limited supply of small ones. I would like to see this issue included in all Podiatry training areas, thank you!

 

Yes it is taught at the Newcastle Uni as part of the course but for some reason the students are not that interested in RSI.l was talking to Sarah Casey one of the lecturers about it and she even mentioned it during the presentation l gave but l guess early in their careers they just dont think about it as they dont have a problem at that stage.
