    Hi everyone,

I have been on here a few times and have found it so helpful, finally gotten around to creating a profile.
2nd year of studying my Podiatry degree in Scotland, 2 more years to go then some choices to make
Specialise? Relocate? Post-Grad? The choices are overwhelming, I think I might need a lie down and a cold flannel.

    Thanks Ben!

I have found quite a few of the posts eye opening, I have my placement to organise for one week in the summer and was looking for inspiration :)
Have you chosen what you would like to specialise in or career path yet?

im finding biomech really interesting and find the diabetes patients on placements really interesting, but its so early to worry about that. I'm going for the learn as much as possible about everything approach and hope for the best :)

    how bout you any ideas?

Same here, the diabetic foot is really interesting, and sadly the rate that diabetes is increasing the world over, there won't be a shortage of patients.
Biomech is one of those areas I struggle with, so not getting much back from it :/ it's a hate-hate relationship at the moment! Hope that changes soon, as it is a large part of a lot of practices.

We are covering research methodologies for the first time this year (and for the next two) and I might look into where that can take me. Podiatry, from what I gather, could do with a bigger research base.

    ah thats great :)

for biomech I found the thread with all the old papers really helpful, especially the root papers as that forms the basis of our teaching. You should try to find the thread

    Thanks Blumley :)

As soon as I get my exam this week out the way (hip in gait, wounds and osteochondrosis)
then I am going to take full advantage of all this information on here!
I didn't see the root papers, so I'll start there.
