    Can any one recommend a good sneaker for Haglunds deformity

    I do not know of any that are specifically recommended. They key would be to find one that has the stitching and shape to accommodate the deformity ... if not, often a simple heel raise lifts the lump away from an area irritation.

    One of the best tricks that I learned for this problem can be applied to many different types of sneakers/runners. Using a heat gun (on the low temperature setting only) gently heat the back of the offending shoe, always moving the nozzle so as not to concentrate the heat on one spot too long. You need to keep your finger on the inside of the heel counter and when you can feel significant heat on the inside of the heel you can then mold the counter outwards. I found the best tool is a wooden broom stick with the end rounded off. you need to push firmly but it works well.
