I have a gentleman with diabetess and his skin has been feeling sticky, even after a shower. His doctor has never heard about it. I have never heard about it before. If any one has an explanation this would be most appreciated.

NEVER seen this myself. I do remember back in the old days of Brighton Uni, my DM educator did tell me that high BG levels made blood, sweat and tears viscous. Thinking he was having me on I quickly forgot about this. Until your post... so other than good BG control, healthy lifetsyle and weight not sure what else to suggest. A quick Google showed no majic products to wash the sticky away, infact wet skin seemed to make things worse.

I agree with Fraoch - I remeber from my lectures at university of east london - that high BG could be also resulting in such sticky sweat. What about some unusual pathology with secretion of the sweat from glands? I will check the newest clinical medicine i just bought and will let you know if there are any clues...

If uncontrolled BG is the cause tehn controlling Bg,diet,Lifestyle etc is paramount.However I was wondering if some sort of symptomatic relief like using Aluminium Chloride wouldnt perhaps help
