This is posted in good faith and not intended as anything other than sharing information. Many years ago a short article in Podiatry Today, compared senior student test scores on podiatric biomechanics with their self reported practitioner capabilities. There was a clear inverse relationship. Similar to The Dunning-Kruger effect, referred to in the article , the weaker academic students felt they were superior practitioners. To the best of my knowledge there has never been a follow up.

The two places you meet Dunning-Kruger flowing like a tidal wave are 1) antivax rubbish and similarly 2) creationist stuff. I supposed one could add to that now the climate change deniers.
