I have lived with itching on the arch of my right foot for almost ten years. My general doctor told me he thought it may be stress and prescribed topical ointments and steriods. I have seen three dermatologists and have had two biopsies of the tissue of the arch--very painful! There is No fungus, but I have used a knife and a callous contraption to shave off the hardened area that continues to itch uncontrollably.
