I don't remember ever ticking the 'You select' box.
I started work age 12 :boohoo: (clearing tables in a local greasy spoon). I lied about my age & I've been lying about it ever since.
I therefore guesstimate I am really due to retire circa. 2022.
By then I will be driving a Mini Cooper <S> Top of the range, leather seats with a soft top & wire wheels.
I will own my own horse & a lovely cottage in Whitby.
I will use a trolley to shop in the food hall of Marks & Spencer.
I will eat chips every day & drink copious amounts of red wine.
I won't care about my 'carbon footprint' or the state of the economy. :deadhorse:
I will pick my toenails, growl at children & chunter readily about the yoof of today.
Until then I will work a 6 day week, shop at Aldi & Nettos, wear a cardi instead of turning the heating on & enjoy the more simple things like how the tomatoes are doing in the greenhouse. ;)
When I retire I am going to open a sinus flushing bar some where in Australia and have twirly run it and make me millions while I surf, play guitar, sing. Ooops sorry Jack Johnson already does that bit already.
must cc twirly, ian and robert
update
have been retired ~3yrs
have had headache 9/10 afternoon > evening, l/side, centred on l/eyeball radiating in the sagittal plane for last 4years'ish
gp, i had until 1/12 ago told me it wasn't sinuses as it was centred 'in' my eye
went for 2nd opinion at another medical centre (as other gp's at usual practice repeated verbatim my EX-gp) and was immediately referred to ENT surgeon who swabbed the pus oozing from my l/maxillary sinus (hope admin you ain't enjoying a fine meal atm), got CT'ed which diagnosed occluded (opaque) l/maxillary and frontal sinuses and have been booked for a sinus wall removal procedure. ENT also dx fungal matter in the occluded sinus (FUNGAL BALL BABY!)

so i should've had my SINUSES FLUSHED!
all the best, mark
goodaye eric, no, always used a surgical mask, gloves, and eyewear
Surgical masks were never meant to protect the wearer; always wanted to wear a cartridge mask but it was frowned upon
never had exhaust, privately or publicly
all the best, mark
So many good ideas. Have been retired since 2010 and done so many of the recommended things. The sinus flushing was ace fun, red wine before and after the event.
I think
there is scope for more sinus flushing bars judging by the way people look down their noses at me in my preloved clothes, standing with (Dr)Rob the homeless looking guy, as we wait to board a plane. Then we turn left at the plane door and they head right down to economy. Ahh happy days.. I'm on permanent holiday, every days a weekend, we plan our next trip away, thats a strain! We stay out late, we decide to have good wine with lunch...why rush. Age is a privilege denied to many and it feels brilliant.
Regard
Ros
Back from yesterday's surgery ' ... and Left sinus surgery'' > " fungal ball the size between a golf and tennis ball extending from maxillary to include other sinuses on left side ... considering a case study presentation / article ... if there were a Guinness book record ... "
so atypical nasal discharge, opaque, yellow-green, solid'ish, head pain when bend forward, headache sagittal plane through l/eye, slight malodour, a GP that for 3-4 yrs refuses to refer on "because it can't be sinus as it's centred on the eye, all signs to beware of
signing off,
all the best, mark
