Unless you are made of money, there is no point in buying Uggs just to wear around the house!

I have been wearing my Uggs for 3 years and they are just showing signs of wear on the sole. Like everything else, you get what you pay for and the joy of having warm feet in the winter without having to wear socks is bliss. I have walked all day in mine at times without problems- and I have recommended to some patients who have severe vascular impairment as the only thing that will keep their feet warm!
Its horses for courses- if I am going on a hike I would put hiking boots on, however for everyday wear the Uggs have been a godsend.

In my experiance I've not found a huge amount of difference 'support wise' between the real or fake uggs. The only difference being the real uggs have a lot more cushioning and padding and as a result may be more comfortable. But I agree everything in moderation!
Fit flops, everyone I have met have had good things to say about them, maybe a little on the expensive side though!

Dear Zuse, I am a male!! Yes I would have to agree the majority of ugg wearers tend to be female although to be honest I have seen some quite fashionable male ones out there. Although the price would certainly put me off! We will have to wait till primark decide to make a male pair :dizzy:
Yes fit flops seem to be the new craze although they wear around last summer, I'm sure coming into the summer months you will see an increase in wearers!
I paid £50 for a pair for my girlfriend which is the going rate I think! Having send I have been told they are the most comfortable sandals/fit flops she has ever worn, even more comfortable than ugg boots!!

I am not made of money. I was just stating the original purpose of uggs & that was slippers. They were never mean't to be worn out of the house. However there new range with the thicker soles are designed for the outdoors.

As for cheap uggs versus the real deal. I have bought cheap primark ones & i have to say that they are very poorly made in comparison to uggs!

i think ugg boots provide as much support as a wet nappy.probably as clean as well.

I agree with most of the above...Uggs are to keep your feet warm, and for some a fashion statement! Definitely not the choice for dog walking! Thanks for the vids...hilarious!

You have had lost of replys all of which cover it all imo, never the less i would just like to add that i myself have seen many females walking in these ugg boots and i cringe at the severity of excessive subtalar joint pronation and the bulging of the talo-navicular. i dread to think how their tib post feels. As such, i would not advise anyone to wear them, as they act as nothing more than slippers, comfortable but thats all.

    Kind Regards,

    Kirsty :)
