Does anybody know another person directly, or have been selected themselves to submit their portfolio, or have been earmarked for HPC Audit?

All I have heard is a friend of a friend........

I don't know anyone personally who has been selected.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Peter

There are a couple on Ortho-Peds forum that have stated so.

A similar question is being asked there in relation to Grandparented vs Non grandparented that have been selected just to try and find out the % balance.

    Good Luck with yours anyway

    cheers
    Derek;)

I can only echo what Peter said, that I do not know anyone personally, who has been selected for audit. I only know of one "friend of a friend".
The selection process appears a bit strange to me, in that a great number of grandparented claim to have been notified of their selection BEFORE the renewel form arrived. When I queried this with the HPC they were quite baffled and said that , no, the request for profiles should have been received AFTERWARDS.

    Hi dido

There are a couple on FDUK that work in the same department and have the same initial and surname.

    Both got an Audit letter.

The suggestion is, the selection was made alphabetically ??

    cheers
    Derek;)

    Sorry, but what is FDUK?
There are 3 SCP members I know of who where selected and their surnames begin with B (2) and K (1). Seems like there is a propensity to favour the first half of the alphabet.
Maybe those with a better knowledge of statistics and probabilities could comment?

    Hi Dido

It is a UK forum specialising in diabetes. http://www.footindiabetes.org/

Excellent resource for all things Diabetic

John McCall is the "head honcho" who is a diabetic specialist pod from Scotland and a very nice chap:D

Hope that helps ( and I hope you don't mind the "plug" Craig ?:empathy:)
    cheers

I know someone who has been selected by the HPC. Surname begins with S for those interested in the alphabetical preference.
