Welsh Pods qualify for prescription rights

    Whilst i shall say congrats to the two ladies, i think the article makes us sound like lower level supported practitioners. It goes on to say nurses and pharmacists have had this in place for a a while and makes it look like we have just been given the priviledge. Whilst this may be slightly true it still looks bad. Secondly it goes on to mention the whole point about medics and dentists being the independant prescriber, yes again this is true but in public perception i still think it looks bad on the profession. I'm not necessarily opposed to supplementary scripts, as it is a way of pushing forward for independant prescribing, however i do believe it makes a mockery of our profession being autonomous. We should just be pushing for independant status.
