Supposedly, Lance Armstong has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and has finally admitted to cheating in cycling, something he has vehemently denied for many years. Here are 10 questions that Oprah should ask Lance.

That is not to be confused with the ten questions that Oprah probably will ask Lance.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2013/jan/09/ten-questions-oprah-wilfrey-lance-armstrong
The interview is to be televised on Oprah's own television channel this Thursday. I'm sure the interview will be very disappointing and have lots of lame excuses from someone who became a multimillionaire by cheating at his sport.
Thanks to Simon Bartold for drawing my attention to this article in his blog.

According to the NY Times, he did confess and will testify against cycling officials:

11. Did you really get cancer Lance?.
Or was the whole thing just a massive scam?. -
Can we ever believe what Lance Armstrong says again?? How do you define "credibility" now, Lance?
Last edited by a moderator: Sep 22, 2016 -
Yes, Lance cheated and lied. He also raised an unprecedented 500 million for cancer research through his foundation. For that, I am giving him a pass.
Steven -
Livestrong are in the business of cancer awareness.
I will not go into it but Steven if you look the facts will 1st shock you then get you angry -

Interesting interview on ESPN Radio with a former teammate:

I can strongly recommend Tyler Hamiltons book 'The Secret Race', possibly my favourite Christmas present in 2012. It gives a fascinating insight into the mass doping of cyclists in that era, and Tyler candidly explains why he/they doped.
Not saying its right, just saying circumstances encouraged them to do it.
I'm glad I have read the book before I hear what Lance has to say. Tyler deserves (some) credit. -
Many more so, but Tyler and Landis get most of the credit in public.
Hamilton's book is good, but I was a bit disappointed.
Funny thing is the new found media who loved Lance now hate him, guys was using peds before he turned to cycling as a triathlete, 1000s knew but no one cared.
The guy is an evil genius, sociopath, narcissist rolled into 1 person, and we will never know if he was a good cyclist or not.
Everyone on the gear does not level the playing field- this idea will mentioned a lot over the next few days it is not true. -
-
EPO turned donkeys into climbing timetrialling freaks.
He had the drive, but there is way too much noise to know his natural talent. Every test done on him has an * next too it.
Sorry be discussing this for way too many years now. He started out as a sprinter type and 1 day classic rider who could not climb at all - and became a Grand Tour rider, way too much noise. -
'not normal'
"The guy is an evil genius, sociopath, narcissist rolled into 1 person, and we will never know if he was a good cyclist or not"
an accurate description. -
This massive scam wasn't dreamt up by Lance.
Also, Pat McQuaid (president of the UCI) had to have been IN on the WHOLE thing, the whole damn time, yet keeps his job.
People keep asking, why doesn't Lance face any jail time the same as Marion Jones did?.
Well, when you have got friends like this, nobody can touch you.

This idea to make an American cycling champion started early 90s
And L.A. was nearly moved on for another guy. -
But somebody must have passed the idea by Pat McQuaid & given it the OK, while trying to work out how to cover his own arse if the s**t hit the fan. He needs to be handed his P45 & Greg LeMond should take charge.
And to think this guy was one of my biggest hero's.

So far so good; not many people on Twitter believe a lot of what he is saying...
one body language expert has said he is lying about when he stopped doping
eg -
I got 4 minutes in and could not take it.. he is so slimey and I make a point of never stopping to look at road accidents
-
-
Seriously, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he came out & said his cancer was a complete fabrication.
-
No excuses for Lance but the entire sport has been dirty for so long it's ludicrous.
Even Eddy Mercx tested positive for a banned substance in 1969. Lance is guilty he admits it but anyone who believes he is the mastermind behind Team Postal's doping program I feel isn't following closely enough. The UCI may have known about the "dirty test" that brought Lance down, that's why they were so quick to condemn their Golden Boy. Damage control.
Politics gentleman, had Lance not been Lance and had he not had the profound effect on the sport and been such a sensational cancer survival story, that dirty test would have been public long ago. Had he not come back to cycling we would have never known and the tide of publicity and money the sport at large benefited from would still be intact. They (UCI) swept it under the rug, they're no different than Lance and deserve their pound of condemnation as well.
Rant over. -
But I will throw this one out there is cycling the same or more or less dirty than other endurance sports or even sports in general ?
Cycling is the easy punching bag, but the skeletons in other sports ?
ps Eddy tested positive 3 times ;) -
Give the guy a break for goodness sake - have you ever tried to ride a bike whilst on drugs? It ain't easy - tried it once and landed in a hedge. The man deserves a medal!
-
Come on Mark, you aren't claiming that as your own are you?
I think I saw the singer from the charlatans post it...
Great call though :) -

Thanks Tracy!! -
Lance, to show good faith and sportsmanship and atone to what a liar you have been (not to mention the shame your have brought to the cycling community and those who "believed" in you while you cashed in on their trust and faith), would you be willing to donate some of the $500 million you raised with your bracelets and the Live Strong Company and give at least 100 million dollars to all those that are living with cancer??
PS:, "Lance, do you think a good "believable" saying on your next set of yellow bracelets should read, "Lie Strong"?
Shame on you brother!
