Hi there,I am new to your site.I would like to find out if I can become accredited for the work I have done. Sixteen years ago I was employed in a country Hospital to operate a Footcare clinic. I undertook training from visiting Sydney Podiatrists, and then went out on my own,I managed a very busy clinic working between three Hospitals.I operated this clinic for seven years providing podiatry treatment.Eventually the hospital employed a podiatrist after I resigned.I am also a registered Nurse and have been working in basic Footcare for the last nine years.

I would recommend you contact the Podiatrists Registration Board in your State, although I suspect that they will immediately inform you that you must obtain a recognised Podiatry qualification (a Bachelor of Podiatry from one of the participating Universities). If you seek entry to a Podiatry degree and are successful, you could then discuss possible recognition of prior learning for the purpose of gaining credits in some subjects. Most Universities require that the the equivalent studies be undertaken at least within the last ten years.
