    I have a pateint, 39 yo. 88 kg. wt. around 165 cm. height, Female on soft removable cast left foot for non-displaced fracture the fifth MTB base for 4 weeks .
    Her risk factors of DVT 1.on oral contraceptive for years 2. Heavyweight
    But active dailly live , normal serum level of protein C, protein S, antithrombin lll
    What's wrong or DVT relation ?
    She develops painful swallen dark skin the leg and foot .
    Duplex ultrasound confirms venous thrombosis of seperior great saphenous vein and distally but preserve more proximal party .
    This situation may be explains the same as yours.
