We were very pleased by the event held at Parliament House in Canberra yesterday, which attracted close to 30 attendees over several hours, including a number of MPs and Senators - a great outcome for an event of this nature! Special thanks to Ricky Lee and Romany Vonarx, podiatrists from The Walking Clinic who assisted with foot health checks, along with President Brenda Tonkin.

That's wonderful - yet community Podiatrists across Australia are unable to refer at risk patients to Podiatrist-run high risk foot clinics at tertiary hospitals. Paradox much?!

The foot checks however were a fantastic opportunity to remind politicians and advisors of the importance of podiatry during Foot Health Month. I've also seen some photos of some great looking practices decked out in this years Foot Health Month materials. Well done everyone on working together to promote the podiatry cause!
