"Podiatric surgeons seem to be creeping higher and higher up the leg," Dr Hambleton said. "We are very disappointed that the Medical Board of Australia isn't stepping up to the plate."

Higher up the leg? Podiatric = Foot and Ankle seriously how high does that intimate?

Maybe Dr Hambleton has his facts incorrect and does not actually know, understand, or even has investigated what a Podiatric Surgeon actually is or does.

Its amusing the straw man arguments these people come up with - lets just stick to the facts Dr Hambleton, and the facts are quite clear, transparent and realistic. Its just a pity you aren't quoting them.

This just reinforces my point above. Dr Hambleton has his facts completely wrong.

Well said Paul. Facts have never been a strong point of the AMA. It's assumed that becasue they are who the are that whatever spills out of their mouths is correct. Unfortunately for us, the media and general public have been listening to it for such a long time its hard to convince them otherwise.

Yawn, yawn. The same old fallacious arguments used by the orthopods in the U.K. also.

Well said Andrew Schlox, 'doctor' is a courtesy title unless you have earned a doctorate. It's also used by pods in Malta and Portugal in Europe and chiropractors and osteopaths in the U.K.
