    Hi- any early opinions yet?

My budgets already been blown for this year, but if it's as interesting as it looks might have to ignore that and get it anyway!

  20. Only really scanned it so far, but seems to be very good, much better than my last couple of purchases. I've read the chapter on orthotics- pretty good. Really like the short, bold summaries for sections of text, means you can speed read.

For those who got signed copies, what did he write in yours? I got:
    "Simon Spooner
The foot is the most important structure for locomotion
    Benno Nigg"

I'll get stuck into it tonight.

Budget for the year blown just 16 days in... Impressive! I've read a couple of the chapters and all I'll say is find the £68 from somewhere and get involved if you can.

    That's what I got too: http://twitpic.com/3q1vs6

  22. Agreed, relatively a lot of money, but so far it's the best book I've read since Kirby volume 3, with the possible exception of "sh!t my dad says" ;)- if you haven't read it, do. Thanks, Griff.

Signature-wise, the only difference is the name, but hey.... this guy, with a biomechanics brain the size of a universe, is sitting there signing books. How inspiring do you think he finds that process? Although I was hoping for a "big shout out to Big Dog..." etc.

I'm delighted with mine. Just need to ask Kevin to sign his for me too. Then invest in a book storage unit akin to the one in the Da Vinci code...

  24. What you haven't got signed copies of Kirby volumes 1-3 sitting in a walnut bookcase in your study?

Perfect opportunity to get them signed at Manchester in June. The bookcase, you may have to work a little longer for.:morning:

One day I hope to own many leather bound books in a study which smells of rich mahogany. Until then I guess I'll have to continue with printed off PDFs on my bean bag...

  31. Mine just arrived, Clearly Benno has read some of my posts and decided that I don´t deserve a signed copy.

Nothing.... probably got better things to do with his time.

Look forward to having a read..

Have you read the previous posts in this thread?

  34. Nilsen Active Member

Yes I've seen them, people have skimmed it and recommend the book based on the man's reputation. I have skimmed books before and on closer examination not liked the book. But thanks for the recap
