Hey all =) I'm a little embarrassed to admit that after being so long out of the clinical environment that i'm now a little rusty with biomech (serves me right!). Could anyone plz suggest some other sites or referrence materials that I might access to alleviate this dilemna (lets just assume that Ive forgotten so much that I need to refresh almost everything :wacko: ). Where would the best place be to acquire these tomes of infinite knowledge? I'm hoping Ian that u subscribe to the theory that the only silly question is the one that remains unasked.

Last I heard Volume 1 was out of stock.

 

I just spoke to Jennifer Smith at Precision Intricast yesterday regarding the reprint schedule of the first book (Volume I). I guess she is still waiting on me to send her the image of the cover (my bad....I'll need to scan one of the original covers).

Since we printed 1,000 in the first run in 1997, and since printing another 1,000 is rather costly these days, we may do a smaller run but, this time, bind the book with a spiral bind. The beauty of the spiral bind is that you still get the same book, but when we send it to the printer with a spiral bind, we can justify doing much smaller publications runs. So far we don't have enough orders to justify a full run of 1,000 books.

There are still a few Volume II books left and the Volume III books were just published a few months ago so there are plenty of them left. And for those who don't know much about these things, publishing books for Precision Intricast is not much of a money making operation for them. It is more about providing this information to the international podiatric community at a cost that allows them to justify the man-power required to print and distribute it.

I don't know anything about how they do the selling but I have read documents on line through them that I was not able to find in print.
