68 year old lady in today.
Irregular burning feet - MPJ's distally to digits. Normal skin appearance/temp. Nil lower limb oedema. Nil diabetes. Nil previous surgery/injuries. Good diet. Normal weight/height. Keeps fit - walks. Relieved gradually by ice/standing in ocean.
Noteably: prominent posterior leg varicosoties. Condition worse in summer. Foot/lower leg mechanics seem ok (no time today for full biomech work-up).
Relationship between varicose veins and subjective symptoms?
Another thought - I've been looking into vasospastic conditions associated with the pre-capillary spincter at the arteriole-capillary junction. Kind of a reverse type of Reynards. Any thoughts.
Chris
